Company Policies Pegasus Associates Lighting provides a complete description of its company policies regarding such matters as credit cards, literature requests, minimum orders, office hours, customer privacy, returns, and shipping.

Most orders are shipped within 1-2 business days so you receive them within 3-7 business days.

 

GOING "GREEN"

In an effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible, Pegasus Associates Lighting is continually striving to be a "greener" company by adopting company policies such as the following:

1) using biodegradable packing materials (peanuts made of cornstarch that decompose in water leaving no toxic waste),

2) using this web site to promote our lighting products and not publish a paper catalog, and

3) encouraging our employees to telecommute from their home offices rather than consume precious gasoline and create excessive carbon dioxide during a wasteful commute.

 

We are also promoting a “green” use of lighting products by:

1) offering more ENERGY STAR® light bulbs and light fixtures, recessed lighting housings that comply with the strict Washington State Energy Code (WSEC) airflow restriction requirements,
3) promoting the use of high-efficiency fluorescent light bulbs and fluorescent light fixtures over incandescent light bulbs and incandescent light fixtures,
4) encouraging the use of well-designed LED light bulbs and LED light fixtures over other lighting products (for example, using LED rope light instead of incandescent rope light),
5) encouraging the use of electronic ballasts over magnetic ballasts in fluorescent and HID light fixtures, and
6) providing more energy-efficient CA Title 24 light fixtures
because we feel it is time for all of us to be more concerned about the quality of the world that future generations will inherit.

INSTALLATION of LIGHTING PRODUCTS

Electrical Wiring

Always check local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC) before installing any lighting system. Because electrical codes can and do vary from location to location it is wise to consult with a certified electrician in your geographical area about any electrical details that you might have questions about and to make certain that you are fulfilling all of the appropriate electrical codes that are unique to your area. Pegasus Associates Lighting can provide the installation instructions for a particular lighting product that we offer but we cannot offer advice about the electrical codes in your area of the country.

In most cases installation instructions can be found on each of the product pages on our web site in PDF format that can be printed.

 

Trouble-Shooting

Every person who has ever installed an electrical lighting system always assumes that he/she has installed the system correctly.  However, errors can and have been made - even by the most experienced and professional licensed electrical contractors. Over the years our experience has been that the problem with a non-working lighting system can often be traced to a single error committed during the installation process. This is not to say that the lighting system itself cannot be bad.  It can be the problem and occasionally is the problem.  It is to say, however, that the installation process, more often than not, is the cause of a lighting system not working properly.  For this reason when checking the installation of a lighting system it might not be a bad idea to have a different installer check the work that has been performed.

MINIMUM ORDERS

NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS

A charge of $25.00 will be assessed on each check returned by the bank because of “Non-Sufficient Funds” (NSF).

Typically we need 1-2 weeks to review your application, check your credit references, and respond. General Statement

Prices are subject to change and availability. However, orders will be filled at the prices in effect on the date your order is received.

 

Large Quantity Discount

If you would like us to quote on a large quantity of one of our products, please use the Quotation Request for Large Quantities provided. We are always happy to provide you with our best large quantity pricing. After you have completed this form simply click the “Submit Request” button and it will be emailed to us. You should receive a response from us within 1-2 business days and sometimes sooner.

 

Lowest Price Protection Policy

If within 30 days of your purchase from Pegasus Associates Lighting, you find the identical product advertised for less by one of our online competitors, we will match that price and refund 10% of the price difference to you.

 

Please note that our low price guarantee applies only to the exact same item with the same styling and options and with the same product SKU from the same manufacturer. Comparison products must be factory firsts. The online competitor must also be an authorized dealer of the product represented. The price must be from a published source and/or you must have a written quote from a competitor. This offer does not include wholesale, contract or manufacturer direct pricing or below-wholesale-cost pricing. Sorry, no dealers. Pegasus Associates Lighting reserves the right to beat any price and limit quantities.

Most of our shipments are made via UPS or the US Postal Service. However, if an order is particularly large, we may use a "common carrier" (a nationwide trucking company).

In addition, you may use our Order Status page on our web site to get the current status of your order 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including any tracking information.

Multiple Shipments

Once your order has been packed and is ready for pickup by our Shipper, you will receive an Order Status email with tracking information.
